Professional Philosophy
I believe that therapy is most effective when the therapist and client work together toward a shared goal. I strive to meet each individual where they are, using compassion and empathic understanding to help guide them on their journey toward mental wellness.
My therapeutic approach is foundationally person-centered and eclectic in nature. I draw mostly from cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based practices.
I have worked with clients of all ages from early childhood to late adulthood. I am particularly interested in working with clients with ADHD, anxiety, autism, perfectionistic traits, mood disorders, historical trauma, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I offer both telehealth and in person sessions.
I am currently working as a Master’s Level Clinical Trainee under the supervision of Jami Hoxmeier, Ph.D., L.P., in pursuit of becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I provide individual therapy and co-facilitate parent groups.
