Camille Angelici, MA
I believe that my collaborative approach with clients combined with my emphasis on acceptance helps cultivate a safe, nonjudgmental, and trusting relationship. Through this relationship, the most significant changes can occur. My therapeutic approach incorporates the client’s values and goals to identify challenges and motivation for change, which can often mean decreasing negative and harmful thoughts and behaviors. My use of evidence-based practices includes cognitive behavior therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy along with the implementation of skills to replace ineffective behaviors with those that align with the client’s life worth living goals.
My areas of interest include Dialectical Behavior Therapy for eating disorders and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy for emotional overcontrol and eating disorders. I have experience working with clients who struggle with a wide range of symptoms and diagnoses, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders and other mental health concerns.
I am currently working as a Master’s Level Clinical Trainee under the supervision of Jami Hoxmeier, Ph.D., L.P., in pursuit of becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I work with adult and adolescent clients individually, and co-facilitate the adolescent groups. I am also a member of our state certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy team.
