Professional Philosophy
I am passionate about building strong relationships with my clients to help them achieve their goals. I strive to create a space where my clients feel safe, accepted, able to grow, and able to share their story. I work with my clients to help them learn to understand and manage their emotions, while providing them with coping strategies to increase more positive experiences in their life. I have a person-centered approach that integrates a variety of evidence-based practices, including mindfulness, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
My areas of interest include ADHD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and personality disorders.
I am currently working as a Master’s Level Clinical Trainee under the supervision of Amy Fordham, M.A., LPCC, in pursuit of becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I work with adults, adolescents, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
