Kristin Bunge, MA
The journey of achieving and maintaining optimal mental (and physical) health and well-being is something that I am immensely passionate about. I truly enjoy forming and strengthening human connections, as this is essential in the process/journey I mentioned above. I believe that each one of us has something special and unique to offer the world, therefore, I like to focus on the strengths my clients already possess. I have been trained in dialectical behavior therapy and also incorporate both person-centered and other cognitive behavioral approaches. I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Augsburg College in 2012 and my master’s degree in counseling and psychological services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2019. My 700-hour practicum experience involved working with children and adolescents in an intensive outpatient setting at PrairieCare Medical Group-Southern Minnesota.
I am currently working as a pre-licensed Master’s Level Clinical Trainee, under the supervision of Jami Hoxmeier, Ph.D., LP in pursuit of becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I work with adolescents and adults who face a variety of struggles. I am currently seeing clients both inside and outside of our DBT programs.
