Kathleen Meier, MA
Mental Health Practitioner

I am passionate about helping people heal and achieve their goals. I build strong relationships with clients based on collaboration, empathy, acceptance, and affirmative care. I value evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Therapy, adapting them to fit the unique needs of the individual. These practices, combined with my person-centered approach, assist in accepting the individual where they are while working to change harmful behaviors. Together, we can reach your goals and build a life worth living.
My areas of interests include Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These practices heal trauma, increase functionality, and improve quality of life.
As a Master’s Level Clinical Trainee supervised by Dr. Jami Hoxmeier, Ph.D., L.P., I am working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I provide individual psychotherapy and co-facilitate adult and adolescent DBT skills groups. I am also a member of our State-Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapy team and am EMDR trained. I work with adolescents, adults, and individuals of the LGBTQIA community.
